Sun&Moon
A hybrid Visual Novel / RPG with dice mechanics, where you must make it to the capital. But is that really it to the story?
Fight enemies, experience a multitude of events throughout the game, and try to unravel the darker story behind Sun&Moon from letters you might collect throughout the game.
And yes, only having one health bar is intentional.
Please forgive the lag if there's any! Ren'py doesn't run as smoothly on web and there may be web-specific bugs. It runs much smoother on download, so I've included files for download as well.
Gameplay is simple point and click to advance text and choose options. Instructions on in-game mechanics are provided in the game in the "Help" menu.

Official Note
Hello everyone! "Sun&Moon" was created for the Gamedev Galaxy Game Jam, a 7 day long game jam that ran from Sept 12 - Sept 19 2025! As a result of that, there are some sprites that weren't able to be created for some interactions, so apologies in advance.
This was my first time participating in a game jam as well as my first time creating a game using Ren'py! I am an artist and a writer with some experience in coding, but I did not have experience using an actual game engine.
As a solo effort, it was a challenge having to write, draw, and code everything myself. I ultimately had a few close friends look over my stuff and contribute their ideas to writing scenarios. So thank you guys ^^ I appreciate you so much!
For this game, I was greatly inspired by the plot of my own personal story, where I had already come up with the term "Sun&Moon" as an in-universe game with importance to two particular characters. It so happens that the theme of this game jam is Moon and Sun, which is close enough in my book!
If anyone is curious about the plot, feel free to ask, but I would also love to hear what people think is happening in the game lore!
